Winter Storm Warning passes with no snow accumulation

Mt. Shasta City – Friday’s winter storm warning dumped a great deal of rain on the area, but there is no snow accumulation.  Saturday’s skies are clear and bright.

As of Noon, Friday 2/26/10, there’s currently  heavy rain with some snow mixed in.  The rain is expected to turn to pure snowfall in the early afternoon.  Currently, the I-5 freeway is clear of snow.  Highway 89  is experiencing snow accumulation, especially on snowman hill.
