Mt. Shasta Subway Sandwich Shop Burglarized

The Subway Sandwich shop in Mt. Shasta was burglarized sometime after closing for the night Tuesday, November 9th.  Thieves broke in through a locked steel back door in back and took cash and caused damage to the restaurant.

The store had a working burglar alarm, but the two employees closing the store Tuesday night failed to set it.

The store has been closed since Wednesday while repairs are made to the restaurant.  At this time, there’s no word when it will reopen.

The burglary is the latest in a string to hit businesses in Mt. Shasta, but there’s no indication if the crimes are connected.  More than ten local businesses have been robbed since mid-September.  In most of the previous break-ins, the robbers entered through an unlocked window or door.
