Castle Crags State Park

by Shasta Cascade on May 1, 2009

Castle Crags State Park is located about 40 minutes north of Redding, CA.

It’s most noted for the incredible granite rock crags that are visible from I-5.  These type of rock formations are rare in this part of the state, and are the defining features of the Sierra Nevada.

Castle Crags is also located next to Castle Crags Wilderness.

Caste Crags State Park features both daytime hiking and nighttime camping.
