Lake Siskiyou

Lake Siskiyou

Lake Siskiyou is located on the edge of Mt. Shasta at the 3,185 ft elevation.  The lake is very popular with boaters & campers during the summer.  It’s especially popular among families with children.
The lake is formed by Box Canyon Dam, which sits at the eastern edge of the 430 acre lake. W.A. Barr road, which loops around much of the lake, goes directly over the dam. Visitors can park and get out of car to view Box Canyon.

The lake has a large privately owned campground called Lake Siskiyou Camp-Resort. The resort is almost like a small town in itself: it has a central village with a general store and restaurant with bar. The resort also has private shower and clothes washing facilities. Visitors can rent watercraft for the day.
