Local Mt. Shasta & McCloud Establishments Featured in LA Times

by Shasta Cascade on June 25, 2011

Great article in today’s Los Angeles Times featuring stops along the Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway.  A number of local establishments like Lily’s & the McCloud Mercantile are featured in the article.

The funny part of that article is that he mentions some businesses that have been closed for over two years. The travel writer who wrote the article was in McCloud two and a half years ago and the article was only just now published. McCloud still is a wonderful place to visit and I’ve greatly enjoyed my time there.

Hi Dunsmuir Momma! Thanks for the comment about McCloud.
Regarding some businesses that have been closed for 2 years: Please let me know which businesses in the article are closed.
I was in McCloud in July, and I believe they were all open. If there have been some closures please let us know. It’s a tough economy out there.
